Monday 3
Vocalist Allison Adams Tucker leads a trio with Danny Green on piano and Julien Cantelm on drums for a midday concert at the Lyceum Theatre (79 Horton Plaza) from noon to 1 p.m. Free.

Tuesday 4
The Bonny Wellington Trio with Ben Wanicur, Robert Dove, and Matthew Smith play 3rd Space (4610 Park Boulevard) at 8 p.m. $10 general admission, $5 students with ID.

Wednesday 5
Gilbert Castellanos has two gigs at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) beginning at 6 p.m. when he hosts the Young Lions Series featuring drummer Elise Trouw outside on the patio before everyone heads inside for the jam session from 8:30 to 11. All ages, no cover… Tatsuya Nakatani, Sam Dunscombe, and Kyle Motl play the Loft (911 Lyman Lane) at 8 p.m. for a free concert… Kjell Nordeson and Peter Kuhn play in duo at Mesa College (CT Building) from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Thursday 6
Grammy Award–winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis leads the Jazz at the Lincoln Center Orchestra in a performance at the Balboa Theater ( 868 Fourth Avenue) at 8 p.m. The School of Creative Performing Arts open the show, which begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $30.

Friday 7
The Matt Smith Neu Jazz Trio with Ed Kornhauser and Mackenzie Leighton play Liberty Station (2640 Historic Decatur Road) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Free… Gilbert Castellanos plays the Westgate Hotel Plaza Bar with Joshua White and Dean Hulett at 8 p.m. $20 food/drink minimum… Fans of vocalist Rebecca Jade and the iconic British singer Sade can travel up the coast to catch Rebecca’s Sade tribute concert at Spaghettini (3005 Old Ranch Parkway, Seal Beach) at 8 p.m. for a $25 cover.

Saturday 8
