Pianist Robert Parker plays solo at the Real Bar & Bistro (124 Solana Hills Drive) at 6:30 p.m. No cover charge, but there is an expectation that food and drinks are moved… Steph Johnson and Rob Thorsen play duo at Croce’s Park West (2760 Fifth Avenue) at 6 p.m. in the bar. No cover charge.

Trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos pulls a double-shift evening at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) by hosting the Young Lions Series, this week featuring the International Academy of Jazz from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Then he shifts gears to lead the Latin jazz jam session from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. All ages, no cover, musicians bring your horns!

The Matt Smith Neu Jazz Trio with Mackenzie Leighton and Ed Kornhauser host the Sunday jam session at 98 Bottles from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 21+, no cover charge.
