Merry Movie Christmas from The Big Screen

You better watch out!

Tonight brings a stereotypical Jewish Christmas Eve: Chinese food and a movie. The festive pre-show meal takes place at China Too on Fifth, the only Cantonese chow house in town where ambiance is defined by running a vacuum cleaner while you dine, followed by laughsaplenty with Madea at the Gaslamp.

Santa shows Betty and Bobby the North Pole.

Care to join me? For surely I must be coming apart if this is how I plan on spending Christmas Eve.

Heartfelt Christmas greetings go out to my partner Matthew, his wife Dierdre, the six greatest kids in all God's creation, and Oreo the Wonder Dog. Every hour spent in their presence is Christmas.

Nothing says health and prosperity quite like giving a carton of butts for a Christmas present. Hey, Maureen O'Hara is still hanging in there, isn't she? "Photoplay," December, 1942.

Ditto to bossmen Jim Holman and Ernie Grimm and editors Jane Belanger, Scott Ellis, Robert Nutting, and Robert Mizrachi. Geez, I have (need?) more editors than Adam Sandler does co-screenwriters.

I seldom have reason to visit into the office (if management is smart they'll keep it that way), but whenever I do venture in, Lauren Bishop is always there to greet me. She's the gatekeeper who unlocks all doors. Thanks for removing the rust from its hinges.

Monty Clift cracks up the courtroom in this outtake from Judgement at the North Pole.

Failure to mention Siobhan Braun will only result in her asking "Why didn't you mention me?" Merry Christmas, Siobhan!

And God bless Gavin Rattman for the hook up and Dave "RT" Rice! If I forgot anyone, blame the Ritalin.

To those of you wise enough to have us bookmarked, I wish the happiest of holiday greetings. Your daily presence is our present, ladies and gentlemen. Merry Everything!
