San Diego State University is in the market for one. “The primary responsibility for this position is to raise major gifts for the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts funding initiatives,” according to a recent online job notice. Hoped-for donors with lots of cash are referred to as “gift prospects” in the posting. “This position will manage a pool of 100-150 major gift prospects working to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects,” it says. Salary Range: $4500 to $5834 per month.
