Now THAT'S Showbiz

After Switchfoot played the Sphere in Buffalo, New York, on June 25, the Buffalo News reported, "Switchfoot look as comfortable in front of an audience as they would be in one. Sometimes too comfortable -- their theatrical lighting and lead singer Jonathan Foreman's smooth stage chat can feel a little overproduced. In a couple of particularly obvious stunts, Foreman made sure no one could miss his main influence. He waded into the crowd, singing of 'one hope and one salvation' with hands outstretched benevolently as rays of light beamed from the stage and eager concertgoers pressed forward to touch him. Hmmm. I wonder what he was trying to conjure."
