Following Federal visit to border, Imperial Beach mayor sends Mr. Floatie to White House

IB Mayor Paloma Aguirre: “I tried sending President Biden a letter letting him know how dire the situation here really is. But all I got was a bunch of talk from Senator Padilla. So I took a page out of the Republican handbook. When Governor Abbott in Texas and Governor DeSantis in Florida wanted the White House to pay attention to migrants slipping over the border, they started sending those migrants to D.C. and elsewhere. Suddenly, people were talking, and even acting. I’m not a Republican, but I’m definitely willing to send 50,000 gallons of contaminated water and a guy dressed as a floating turd to Washington if it will help get some Federal attention on the sewage slipping over the border.”
