Border dogs tugged his heartstrings

More canine kryptonite

I just finished reading your story “Border dogs are our Kryptonite” by Marty Graham (“San Diego’s border dogs are our kryptonite,” Cover Stories, April 15 ). I’m a little behind because I live in Mexico and don’t get to see the Reader as often as I would like. I have two doodles myself and so this story by Marty Graham really caught my eye and really tugged at my heart strings. I think this is just a great, great story and I would love to see more stories like that in your magazine and in anyone else’s newspaper for that matter. So just wanted to thank you very much for that wonderful story.
