Harbor Patrol responded to an adrift vessel near Harbor Island. Harbor Patrol located an adrift kayak which was then taken to the Harbor Patrol dock and impounded.

Dec 8

Harbor Patrol were dispatched to a dock within the America's Cup Harbor for a report of a stolen dinghy. Harbor Patrol are investigating the crime and checking video surveillance.

Harbor Patrol were dispatched to the area of buoy #18 due to the USCG locating two identical adrift kayaks. The kayaks were then taken to the Harbor Patrol dock and impounded.

Harbor Patrol responded to the Kona Kai for a subject causing a disturbance. Due to the subject's demeanor and comments he was taken to County Mental Health for an evaluation.

Harbor Patrol were dispatched to a subject who called for assistance near the entrance to SD Bay. Harbor Patrol located a subject who was in his small dinghy attempting to row into the bay from the Zuniga Jetty area. Due to the high winds and tide, he was being taken out to sea. Harbor Patrol assisted him back to his vessel.

Harbor Patrol were called to an adrift dinghy near the A-3 Anchorage. The dinghy was taken to the Harbor Police dock and impounded.

Nov 29

Harbor Patrol were dispatched to the A-3 Anchorage for a subject requesting a police report. Upon contact, the subject claimed that someone placed a device in his ears and he is now hearing voices. Harbor Patrol transported the subject to County Mental Health.

Harbor Patrol impounded a vessel that was in a slip at the Harbor Police Guest slips without a permit.

Nov 27

Harbor Patrol responded to an abandoned deflated dinghy attached to the Harbor Island fuel dock. Harbor Patrol impounded the dinghy and are attempting to locate the owner.

Harbor Patrol were dispatched to a sailboat dragging its anchor near the A-9 Anchorage. A USCG vessel stopped the vessel just prior to it drifting into the A-3 Anchorage. The vessel was towed and impounded at the South Bay storage yard since Harbor Police were unable to locate its owner.

Harbor Patrol were called to a dinghy dock in America’s Harbor for a stolen dinghy that was located. Harbor Patrol and the owner recovered his dinghy and have leads on the subject who possibly took the vessel and outboard motor.

Harbor Patrol recovered a purse floating near the Pearson’s fuel dock. The purse still had items inside and was impounded by the SDPD.

Harbor Patrol responded to a call at the Zuniga Jetty anchorage regarding a possible domestic violence incident. Harbor Patrol contacted a subject claiming to be a victim but they would not provide any information on the suspect. Harbor Patrol documented the incident.

Nov 24

Harbor Patrol responded to the area of Harbor Island to assist three subjects in the water after their jet ski capsized. Harbor Patrol assisted the subjects aboard their vessel and called for the jet ski company to respond for their capsized jet ski.

Harbor Patrol were dispatched to the area of the Naval Submarine base for an adrift kayak. The kayak was taken to the HP dock and impounded for being a hazard to navigation.

Nov 20

Harbor Patrol was dispatched to investigate a hit and run accident that occurred to a boat while it was docked in its slip, at the Kona Kai Marina. It was found that the accident occurred the week prior. Harbor Patrol is checking on a few leads and video surveillance. The vessel’s damage was at the stern to its lifting davit arms and pulleys.
