Bar comes down on San Diego County lawyers

San Diego County lawyers have been disciplined, according to the calbarjournal.com and state bar records.

James Joseph Warner was disbarred. In July of 2014, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to launder monetary instruments and attempted harassment of a witness.

Edward Medina was disbarred for failing to notify clients and the courts of a previous license suspension and falsely reporting to the bar that he had done so; that involved moral turpitude. He also appeared in bankruptcy court for a client while suspended.

Sean Enrique O'Keefe was suspended from the practice of law after being convicted of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, a felony involving moral turpitude.

Randall Curtis Sterling was placed on one-year probation including a 30-day suspension. He falsely told the bar that he was in full compliance with his Minimum Continuing Legal Education requirements when he knew that he was not, and telling the bar that his legal education documents were destroyed by fire when he never had such records.

George Harvey Bye was suspended from practice of law. He has not passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination and is suspended pending proof of passage.
