Not Kosher

In Chad Deal’s review of Rare Form, he described a sandwich as a “Kosher” pile of pastrami, which seems unlikely. The menu doesn’t seems to say that. Furthermore, there is Swiss cheese on the sandwich, which would make the whole thing nonkosher.

A food writer should know better.

We loved your San Diego Restaurant Guide. My minor complaint is that you didn’t say where the food shown on the cover is served, especially the Stone Crab Asparagus Salad. Please spill the beans!

Common Bath Knowledge

Please someone tell Matt Potter that the shipyard in Bath, Maine is not a Navy shipyard. The shipyard in Bath is a privately owned shipyard and should not be referred to as a Navy shipyard.

Who Do You Think You Are?

Barbarella, your Diary of a Diva column in the September 10 issue (“Barberica Industries”) is probably the most revealing, yet embarrassing thing you’ve ever written. Good lord, girl! Who do you think you are — Steve Lopez? Yikes. You write for the Reader, for heaven’s sake!
