Christina Chadwick, vice president of communications at the Downtown San Diego Partnership, an outfit that lobbies for center city business and development interests, has more than a friend at city hall. Husband Scott Chadwick is Republican mayor Kevin Faulconer’s chief operating officer.

So discloses the partnership in its November 3 lobbying disclosure, which also reveals that Chadwick was paid $8280 in salary and benefits during the third quarter of this year. The group is pushing hard to turn the old main library building on E Street into a “technology, education, and innovation” center, and also wants to cops to beef up their anti-homeless surveillance and related “outreach resources” downtown.

Honcho Kris Michell lobbied Scott Chadwick on that, according to the filing. Michell, a former top aide to GOP ex-mayor Jerry Sanders, also spread a little political wealth, kicking in $250 for city-council candidate Chris Ward.
