Nothing exciting — just patio furniture

Lori Wagner and her husband were visiting from Granite Hills. They were eating lunch on the beach when, "A giant cloud of black smoke came over us," she told me. They went around to the front of the building and saw one of the upper units had smoke and flames coming out. She started taking pictures of it and said she heard from the firefighters that it was patio furniture on fire. The upper units are difficult to see from street level.

When I spoke to one of the firefighters from Station 15 in Ocean Beach, he was exiting the building. He said, "It was nothing exciting. Just some furniture on fire with some smoke damage to the outside of the building."

In November of last year, firefighters showed to attend to a gas leak while the building was under construction
