Barrel-Aged Beer Release: Though the name of Coronado Brewing Company’s pumpkin beer, Punk’n Drublic, is pretty silly, the brewers were serious enough about it to stash some away in barrels for this special bottle release. 1st Annual Urge Gastropub Beer Week Wiffle Ball Tournament: Perhaps the most outside-the-box (or at least outside-the-bar) event of Beer Week, this athletic competition will pit multiple teams against one another for the type of intense sporting melee that will build up a thirst for special beers from The Lost Abbey and Ironfire Brewing Company. | Carmel Mountain Ranch Community Park, Carmel Mountain, 10 a.m.

Avery Experience Beer Dinner: O’Brien’s Pub will get a little help from friends at Colorado’s Avery Brewing Company, when founder Adam Avery drops in with a stash of gold-foiled rare, barrel-aged wild ales, stouts and more, all of which will be paired with food from the pairing experts in the venerable beer bar’s kitchen. | O’Brien’s Pub, 4646 Convoy Street, Kearny Mesa, 6:30 p.m.
