Steph Johnson brings special guests Tim McNalley on sitar and double bass with Jesse Charnow on tablas to Ecoverse (302 11th Avenue) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The concert is free, but donations are accepted … the usual double-dose of trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos starts at 7:00 p.m. when he hosts the Young Lions Series at Croce’s Park West (2760 Fifth Avenue) $5 cover, playing the first set with an up-and-coming jazzer under the age of 25, then he shoots over to the jam session at Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue) where the fun starts at 9:00 p.m. No cover charge, musicians bring your instruments!

The Moonlight Serenade Orchestra will get you dancing at Stoneridge Country Club (17166 Country Club Lane, Poway) from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a $10 cover, $7 for SRCC members. No minimum.
