A cat in San Marcos has tested positive for rabbititis, better known as “rabbit fever” or tularemia, an infectious disease that could prove injurious to humans and domestic rabbits.

Don’t worry, folks. The kitty and everyone who came in contact with it are all hale and hearty and no other pets in the vicinity show any signs of carrying the dreaded contagion.
