The newspaper heard from a sheriff's department spokesperson that the wife has been charged but has not been able to confirm the report from San Bernardino County court records and sheriff's department bookings.

The publication says that on August 18, Baron made a purchase with a fraudulent check. Several days later, the sheriff's department located Baron's car and home. After getting a search warrant, authorities discovered evidence of a check-manufacturing operation.

Baron was booked into jail on $25,000 bond. He posted the bond and was released August 22.
