Brian’s revenge

Mindy Fletcher, ex–White House press aide to president George Bush and wife of failed Republican-turned-Democratic San Diego mayoral candidate Nathan Fletcher, has gone into business with Corinne Clark, an ex-staffer for Brian Bilbray, a Republican who lost to Scott Peters. (In a bit of irony, Nathan Fletcher backed Democrat Peters.)

“She was the Congressman’s go-to staffer for vote recommendations and bill synopsis for all legislation that came to a vote,” says Clark’s profile on the website of the new outfit, Crux Partners. The firm’s third partner, Jennifer Polk Maxson, is also a Bilbray veteran. “In her most recent role as Senior Advisor, Jennifer was responsible for identifying and implementing strategic outreach opportunities for the Congressman…. She was also responsible for hosting and coordinating fundraising activities in Washington, DC and San Diego.”
