Victors include Rachel Laing, the former Jerry Sanders flack who now works for the mayoral campaign of newly hatched Democrat Nathan Fletcher, and Fletcher himself, who can add his journalist’s hat to his others as one-time Republican political operative, ex-GOP state assemblyman, part-time UCSD professor, and Qualcomm director of development. … Add yet another item to the list of municipal matters — already covering McMansions, seals, and kayaks — that require the services of a La Jolla lobbyist. Windansea Communications, run by Molly Bowman, an ex-aide to one-term Democratic congresswoman Lynn Schenk, reports that it has been retained by Ray Cammack Shows, Inc. to lobby for “the placement of a Transportable Observation Wheel.” A former actor and model, Bowman is married to TV weatherman Shawn Styles.
