Everyone's best buddy Shamu, the killer whale, is raising money for The Rady Children's Hospital. The name of the the event is the Shamu and You Walk. I’m not sure how much walking Shamu is going to be doing. However, when an event rhymes it makes it so much better.
The event is for families and has one mile or four mile walk set up for Saturday October 5th at 7:30 am.
We might guess that the walk is at SeaWorld and we’d almost be right. The event starts and finishes at the South Shores area just east of SeaWorld. Participants will receive a coupon for a discounted admission to SeaWorld.
So far, this edition of the event has raised over $260,000 for the children’s hospital.
