A limited-edition vinyl pressing of P.O.D.’s new full-length, Murdered Love, drops this week. It’s available in two colors: transparent red and clear with red splatter.

On November 30, the Tin Can Alehouse will host the release party for SDMA “Best Acoustic” winner Colin Clyne’s digital EP Doon Tae the Wid (Scottish for “down to the wood”). “I’ll be playing a set with my percussionist,” says Clyne, “and we’re pressing a limited batch of CDs for this party, probably only a hundred copies.”

A Christmas CD from Enchanted Realms’ fingerstyle guitarist Scot Ryder debuts on Saturday, December 1, at Rebecca’s Coffeehouse in South Park.

On the same night, a release party for the new CD by songstress Megan Combs, Home Is Where the Heart Is (recorded with local reggae artist Tommy Dubs), happens at Lestat’s. “My set will include songs from the album, a new song, and maybe a Nicki Minaj cover, all played acoustically with Rhodes piano, stand-up bass, and percussion,” says Combs.

On Saturday, December 8, comedic rock duo Pony Death Ride will host a listening party at Bar Pink for their debut full-length, Not a Foal, Not Yet a Horse. “It’ll be our first San Diego show in over a year,” says singer/bassist Jaye MacAskill, “and we hope to have some of the other musicians who played on the release. One thing’s for sure — there will be cake!”

The second album from garage rockers the Morlocks, the semi-live Submerged Alive (1986), is being re-released by Area Pirata Records with new liner notes by singer Leighton Koizumi. In addition, Koizumi says his ’80s garage ensemble Gravedigger V is recording their first new music in over two decades.
