Bloodmobile Gets Stuck in Ocean Beach

On the afternoon of Friday, April 29, the San Diego Blood Bank's Bloodmobile got stuck in the deep dip where Montalvo Street meets West Point Loma Boulevard in Ocean Beach. The Bloodmobile had just completed a blood drive at Correia Junior High School.

The driver and blood technician exited the bus and sat on the side of the road, waiting for a tow truck. The situation was doubly disappointing to the technician, who told me, “The Correia blood drive yielded just seven units of blood."

Neighbors say they have seen "moving trucks, U-Hauls, and school buses" in the same predicament over the years.
