Gayle Skidmore’s CD-release show for Make Believe happens November 13 at the Ruby Room. “I played over a dozen instruments on the album and took over a year and a half to record it,” reports the indie-acoustic songstress. “We’ve had over 1100 pre-orders so far!”

November 14, Miff Laracy & Bumbershoot play an album-release party at O’Connell’s with the Shamey Jays and Deborah Blake on the bill.

Hip-hop family man Blame One, who announced his retirement from music last year, has changed his mind to put out a new full-length, Endurance.

Jason Robinson has two new albums: Cerberus Reigning is the second in a trilogy of Robinson’s conceptual solo-saxophone records featuring electroacoustic pieces that “tell the story” of an otherworldly three-belled saxophone; The Two Faces of Janus includes contributions from jazz and improv mainstays Rudresh Mahanthappa, Marty Ehrlich, Liberty Ellman, and George Schuller.

Can Wait.

Over the next few weeks, expect new offerings from the jazzy Wayne Riker Quintet (Penumbral Sky), the aptly named Willie Psycho (The Predator), tender troubadour Simeon Flick (Piquant), the reunited Fab Rudies (Help Me), and a rarities collection from reunited punks the Cardiac Kidz, now featuring former Wallflowers front man David Rinck on second guitar.
