The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a shaved head and wearing a dark blue shirt and baggy jeans. Police radio reported that there was at least one resident who was hiding and “…lying on the floor next to the bed” while the suspect was in the home.

As police arrived on the scene, the suspect fled westbound toward the ocean, and witnesses saw him “…running towards the boardwalk.”

Minutes after the reported break-in, officers were able to catch up to the man two blocks away on Salem Court. “We have him here at the boardwalk,” an officer stated over police radio. There were no reports of any weapons used during the incident.
