Sempra Energy execs open wallets for presidential candidates

Some for Romney, some for Obama

— Like most of their cohorts in big business, executives of Sempra Energy have been opening their checkbooks for presidential campaigns. They include Jessie Knight, the first African-American executive director of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, now Sempra's executive vice president of external affairs. He gave $1000 to Republican Mitt Romney; vice president Mark Randle gave $500. On the other hand, Lamar Frazier, of Sempra Energy Solutions in Houston, gave $4600 to Democrat Barack Obama.
