Black light will reveal toxic mold in your bathroom, illuminate your pet reptile in the dark, and expose forgeries in documents. But most folks want to get a luminous blast from their black velvet paintings, show off fluorescent pen markings on their faces, or reveal secret messages written in Woolite. A flashlight ($14.95) is fine for finding reptiles. Black velvet paintings require an 18-inch, 20-watt fluorescent bulb ($34.95). Tell the Black's staff how big your painting is so they can give you the correct wattage for maximum effect.
