San Diego native Aquile, who grew up in Wyoming before returning here, was 22 years old when he earned national attention in 2012 as a contestant on season three of the TV show The Voice, landing on Christina Aguilera’s team. His solo shows are a mix of his originals often looped in with Drake/Tupac/Bieber mashups. According to Aquile, “I create my own harmonies and make up a lot of my compositions on the fly.”

Blaise Guld at Estancia La Jolla Mar 30

Blaise Guld first earned local notice fronting rock-n-reggae group Mad Traffic, later signing with Blindspot Records and releasing a number of solo works. His full-length Past Forward was nominated Best Pop Album at the San Diego Music Awards.
