While the home includes four-tenths of an acre of real estate, the steep slope prevents much use being made of the natural spaces. But the home features several decks and terraces, including one with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue, and another with a sitting area and gas firepit. The top-floor master suite also has a disappearing-glass wall onto a private outdoor terrace.

Public records indicate the current owner of the property is Majid Rahimifar, a Bakersfield-based surgeon whose practice has received mixed reviews. Rahimifar reportedly purchased the property for $825,000 in 2011; it currently carries an assessed tax value of just under $2.4 million. That number was likely assigned during the construction process; the listing indicates the current residence was just completed in 2018 and is not owner-occupied.

The Hillside estate was listed for $6.2 million in mid-October, with a price adjustment upping the ask to $9.5 million in early December — that number remains unchanged to date. Another home across the street, featured in Unreal Estate earlier this year, 7455 Hillside, has seen its asking price reduced from a high of $20 million down to $12.99 million. It remains available.
