Gilbert Castellanos begins the first of two gigs at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) when he hosts the Young Lions Series at 6 p.m. before changing up to lead the jam session at 8:30. All ages, no cover, no minimum… The Ian Tordella Trio with Mack Leighton and Charles Weller play Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue) 21+, 9:30 p.m. No cover… The Jazz 88 Blues Jam goes down at Proud Mary’s Southern Bar & Grill (5500 Kearny Mesa Road) at 6:30 p.m. with host J.
