Fashion Week San Diego hosted its spring showcase at Harrah’s Casino on Saturday, March 14. Attendees were given a sneak peek of styles from 25 different designers whose designs will walk the runway next fall during FWSD. The annual 7-day event has a new location, and FWSD will move from its former home at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier to La Jolla where a section of Girard Ave will be shut down for the runway shows. Other Fashion Week San Diego events will take place in La Jolla’s downtown district on September 28 through October 4, 2015 and presale tickets are available now.

Fashion merchandising students Livier Aguilar, 24 and Lindsay Knott, 22, drove from Mission Viejo for the FWSD Spring Showcase. Knott wore an American Apparel swing dress paired with a faux-fur jacket from Nordstrom and an Urban Outfitters necklace.

“I was a little disappointed. I am more into avant-garde styles,” Aguilar said of the showcase. However, she is optimistic that the fall runway show will be more her style.

Los Angles-based Tatiana Hilton, 30, and Peter Nylund, content creators for Darkside Studios LA, were in attendance to support designer Jessica Faulkner. Nylund is Faulkner’s photographer. Nylund wore head to toe vintage, while Hilton wore high-waisted shorts, a sheer blouse, and a jacket, all designed by Jessica Faulkner.

Designer Nikki Marie manned a small makeshift boutique near the runway. She wore one of her own designs, a wrap skirt paired with a delicate blouse. She looked like a 1950s flashback. Her shop was filled with feminine and playful designs.

Lastly, Model Ella Wagner wore a seriously sexy floor-length dress by designer Nolan Dean. Nolan Dean will also be showing his designs at FWSD in the fall.
