Wahoo on the chew

Chubasco 2 Sportfishing hosted 51 anglers aboard 3 boats and reported 61 yellowtail, 248 rockfish, 1 sand bass and 1 barracuda caught.

3 anglers aboard 1 boat out of Dana Landing put 5 yellowfin tuna and 7 bluefin tuna in the hold.

Fisherman's Landing sent 185 Anglers out aboard 6 boats and reported 27 lingcod, 250 mackerel, 387 rockfish, 8 calico bass, 9 Sculpin, 4 Bluefin Tuna, 208 Yellowtail, 4 Bonito, 8 Yellowfin Tuna, 2 barracuda, 1 sand bass and 1 halibut and 78 calico bass released.

311 anglers fishing out of H&M Landing aboard 12 boats caught 257 yellowtail, 16 yellowfin tuna, 16 sculpin, 1 cabezon, 1 whitefish, 396 rockfish, 10 lingcod, 19 bluefin tuna, 16 bonito, 3 barracuda, 58 calico bass, 2 sand bass, 1 sheephead and 33 mackerel. An additional 50 calico bass were caught and released.

Helgren's Oceanside Sportfishing hosted 24 anglers aboard 1 boat and reproted 7 sculpin and 15 rockfish caught.

149 anglers aboard 6 boats out of Point Loma Sportfishing loaded up on 381 rockfish, 20 mackerel, 24 yellowtail, 6 yellowfin tuna, 4 calico bass, 1 sand bass, 1 halibut, 2 bluefin tuna and 2 lingcod.

Seaforth Sportfishing sent 286 anglers out aboard 13 boats for a total catch of 21 bonito, 327 yellowtail, 12 bluefin tuna, 32 yellowfin tuna, 910 rockfish, 2 Sheephead, 1 whitefish, 2 lingcod, 17 barracuda, 1 calico bass and 1 sheephead.

After Blanca passed the fishing warmed up a bit in Baja. The wahoo are on the chew in the La Paz area and off Mag Bay on the Pacific side. Check out the fat 'hoo from just south of Cerralvo Island near La Paz in Jonathan Roldan's report from Tailhunters International.
