Lake Poway has announced that they are cancelling the last two trout stocks scheduled for April 15 and April 29 due to warm weather.

Another lake record was set by Mario Kimble of Bonita at El Caspitan Reservoir. Kimble landed a 50.85-pound blue catfish, the largest fish ever caught from the lake.

Still trophy-sized trout coming from area lakes, especially Cuyamaca and Wohlford. Largemouth bass and redear sunfish continue to show well and with good size at most area lakes.

Chubasco 2 Sportfishing hosted 17 anglers aboard 1 boat and reported a total catch of 3 yellowtail and 85 calico bass.

63 anglers aboard 2 boats out of Fisherman's Landing caught 23 sculpin, 180 rockfish and 2 lingcod.

H&M Landing sent 56 anglers out aboard 3 boats for a total catch of 1 halibut, 7 calico bass, 2 bonito, 2 barracuda, 4 yellowtail, 1 sheephead, 9 sculpin, 155 rockfish, 16 halfmoon and 2 whitefish.

19 anglers aboard 2 boats out of Point Loma Sportfishing caught 10 sculpin, 90 vermilion rockfish, 1 lingcod, 1 sand bass and 33 yellowtail.

Seaforth Sportfishing hosted 117 anglers aboard 5 boats and reported a total catch of 8 whitefish, 29 vermilion rockfish, 6 sculpin, 55 rockfish, 1 lingcod, 44 yellowtail and 8 calico bass.
