The Ruby Duo featuring vocalist Ruby with Bob Boss on guitar start a two-night-stand at Croce’s Park West (2760 Fifth Avenue ) from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for no cover.

Vocalist Leonard Patton is hosting a CD-release party for his Beautiful Day disc at Northern Spirits (727 W. San Marcos Boulevard) with two shows at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Patton will be joined by Peter Sprague, Bobby Cressey, Harley Magsino and Duncan Moore. $10 cover charge… the Ruby Duo return to Croce’s Park West.

This week’s star of Gilbert CastellanosYoung Lions Series at Croce’s Park West is tenor saxophonist Nathan Collins fronting a band with Antar Martin, Fernando Gomez, and Paul Raini Castelluzzo. Castellanos sits in for the first set, then he’s off to Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue) for the Latin Jazz Jam Session with Irving Flores, Rob Thorsen, Mike Holguin and Charlie Chavez.
