Hispanic entrepreneurship low in SD

California coastal cities not so hot, either

In a ranking of the best and worst cities for Hispanic entrepreneurship, San Diego comes in a lowly 107 of 150 metro areas, according to a study by the statistical aggregator Wallethub.com.

Among the Hispanic-related variables in the study: median income and income growth, unemployment rate, share of businesses owned, population growth. The Hispanic entrepreneurship rate is the number of Hispanic-owned firms adjusted for Hispanic population.

Los Angeles came in below San Diego (113th), but Oakland (93rd), Anaheim ((84th), Riverside (64th), and San Francisco (50th) did better.
