"$22 Mil is not DeAnza."

Press release from City Attorney Jan Goldsmith:

"Why did the City Council vote in closed session to approve a $22 million offer to the residents of Mission Bay's DeAnza Cove mobile home park in exchange for their waterfront real estate? Because shut up and stop asking so many questions, that's why! That's nearly $73,000 per family, and they don't even have the legal right to live there! More than generous! "Clearly, these people have viable options before them. So really, there's nothing to complain about. The City Council's ruling makes a statement: 'Let's open up the park for the people of San Diego — in some capacity.'"
