U-T pressroom employees get raises

Cory Fish, director of human resources for U-T San Diego, today (March 3) notified the Graphic Communications Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters that the company has decided to give merit-based increases to certain pressroom employees. Those now making less than $16 an hour will get a boost.

"Please note that there are no department-wide or across the board increases and the scope of increases is limited and targeted based on performance," Fish told the union, which is now seeking the names and increases for each employee.
