Iron Fist introduces four-packs

Because one can never have enough beer, even a bottle-share can lead to a second sudsy location. In the case of the share I reported on earlier this week (where I dug up early info on Toolbox Brewing Company), my post-party hangout of choice was Churchill’s Pub & Grille (887 West San Marcos Boulevard, San Marcos), where I continued my beer sampling, enjoying a flight of sours by the warmth of the watering hole’s outdoor fire pits.

A few tasters in, I was joined by a most welcome random visitor, Brandon Sieminski, the young brewmaster at family-owned Vista operation, Iron Fist Brewing Company. It wasn’t a typical interview situation, but beer is what forms the basis of our relationship, so that’s what we talked about. Sieminski shared with “the other Brandon” how happy he has been with a recent distributor shift, Iron Fist’s plans for San Diego Beer Week, and how much he enjoys beer dinners and trading thoughtful conversation with patrons on beer for quality food. He also shared that his company is about to release its Nelson the ImPaler in a new format.

That beer, an extra pale ale brewed with Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand, will fill Iron Fist’s first-ever four-packs. Those beers should debut very soon in grocery stores and liquor stores around San Diego County. One of the things Sieminski is most excited about with the packs is their price point. They should come in well under the double digit mark, dollar-wise, making for something that’s highly affordable in comparison to many other craft beer four-packs on the market.

Iron Fist will follow up its inaugural four-pack with its Renegade Blonde Ale (a San Diego Beer News Beer of the Week two weeks ago) and perhaps a third yet-to-be-determined beer.
