San Diego unemployment rate stays at 7%

The October unemployment rate in San Diego County was 7 percent, unchanged from a revised 7 percent in September, according to the California Employment Development Department. This was below the 8.6 percent of a year earlier.

The county gained 10,800 nonfarm jobs in the month. Government added 6400 jobs, boosted by a gain of 4300 in local education.
