Judgment of $115 million sticks against Illumina

According to Law360.com, a Washington state federal judge on Monday, November 4, refused to overturn a $115 million patent-infringement lawsuit against San Diego biotech Illumina.

The judge found that Syntrix Biosytems had presented sufficient evidence that Illumina violated a patent covering DNA technology.

The judgment affirms the largest patent verdict in Washington state history.
