Open House: Vista’s Mother Earth Brew Co. has done some major expanding and upgrading at its original brewery, which has necessitated them closing off its tasting room. Second Saturday: It’s an annual edition of a monthly tradition wherein the husband and wife behind Hamilton’s Tavern invite close friends from Northern California breweries to pack the house along with thirsty patrons and enjoy special beers with a mammoth buffet spread. | Hamilton’s Tavern, 1521 30th Street, South Park, 1 p.m.

Best Damn Sour Fest 3: It’s like walking into event coordinator, Best Damn Beer Shop, seeing all the bottles of lambics, gueuzes, and Flemish red ales, but instead of simply slack-jawedly marveling, you actually get to taste samples from all those rare glass containers. | The Beer Co., 602 Broadway, Downtown, 5:30 p.m.

Lobster Boil & Nitro Beers: Feasts of freshly boiled shellfish, potatoes, and corn are all the rage in New England, but scarce in America’s Finest City…except on the second-to-last day of Beer Week, when Sessions Public will bring one to you along with great Ballast Point beers. | Sessions Public, 4204 Voltaire Street, Ocean Beach, 4:00 p.m.
