All American Hero Run
Not Greatest American Hero?
With all the themed running events, I was so excited when I first saw this one because for a split second I thought this was The Greatest American Hero 10K and 5K.
Believe it or not I was walking on air.
Alas, this is the All American Hero run.
It’s nice to see a 10K show up now and then amidst the slew of half marathons and 5K’s. The All American Hero Run is a 10K run or a 5K run/walk on Saturday the 31st of August. Online registration ends at midnight on Thursday the 29th.
The course is down at NTC park in Liberty Station but the 10K goes south across Spanish Landing to the mouth of Harbor Island.
That is a VERY nice run.
The start time on the 10K is 7:30 am. The 5K starts at 8:15 am but the kid’s 400 meter run is the opening event at 7:15 am.
Patrick Henry High School is the beneficiary for the event.
