Big Lots store in Vista closes after 16 years

The Big Lots store at the Shadowridge Plaza Shopping Center located on Sycamore Road in Vista, is scheduled to close its doors forever on April 15. According to store manager Oliver Cregier, even though the location has always showed a good profit margin, the closure is due to the fact the center is raising fees and the company chose not to renew the lease.

Cregier stated that the store’s entire remaining inventory is on sale for 50% off and would even drop further in price as the close date draws near. He claimed that of the 20 some regular employees at this outlet all have been placed in other Big Lot store locations. The Shadowridge Center Big Lots discount store has been a neighborhood fixture in this area since 1997.
