Shocking Video: Skateboarding Veteran Run Over

Shortly before 2.00 a.m. on September 6, Brian Wayne Conner, a 36-year-old paraplegic who had no legs due to a war injury, was badly injured while riding his skateboard and attempting to hang onto the undercarriage of a trailer rig.

The incident happened as the vehicle made a right turn up Santa Monica Avenue, near Bacon Street. The driver was reportedly unaware that Conner was attempting to hitch a ride. Conner lost his grip on the rig and ended up under the wheels of the vehicle.
