Shelley Malil Sent to Donovan State Prison to Begin Life Sentence

Shelley Malil, a former Hollywood actor who tried to stab to death his ex-girlfriend in her San Marcos home in 2008, was sentenced to life in prison in December. He was sent from local jail to Donovan State Prison last month. Since February, he’s been prisoner #AF 9124.

Because of the transfer to prison, Malil was a no-show at a civil hearing February 18 in the Vista Courthouse. Kendra Beebe, the woman who survived the multi-knife attack, is asking for $10 million in general, special, and punitive damages from her ex-lover. The next hearing in the civil case will be held at San Diego’s North County Superior Courthouse on April 1.
