Fat Tuna

Aquaculture farmers in Ensenada have vowed to extend the length of time their farm-raised blue-fin tuna will fatten, from four months to over a year.

The tuna are kept in corrals, where they are fed until fattened up for market; however, Baja fish farmers have found that feeding them for a longer period of time increases their size and in a cost-effective manner.
