Gregory Page’s release party for Heartstrings happens February 13 at Oasis House Concerts.

Angels and Airwaves will be giving away free downloads from their website and MySpace page for Valentine’s Day, featuring their new album Love (worst Google-minded title ever?).

Recordable Colors release their first full-length CD February 20 at the Ken Club. Singer-guitarist Dorian Tucker says it’s been a busy time for the upstarts. “We created a website, made a music video, and recorded an album with Christopher Hoffee [Truckee Brothers] at Chaos Recorders.”

Other locals with new February releases include Coachella-bound buzz band the Soft Pack and Clay Pigeons collaborator James T. Powers (Cali-Foreigner), as well as Heavy Glow (The Filth and the Fury), Lualta (Nobody Loves You When You’re Down), Skid Roper (Rock ’n’ Roll Part 3), Secret Apollo (Circus Opus), the Wayne Riker Ensemble (Full Soul Ahead), and a self-titled full-length from Gypsy-flamenco improv kings Otro Mundo.

March will see new records from former Zappa sideman Mike Keneally (Scambot 3), songstress Steph Johnson, reggae-minded Higher Minds, man-of-a-thousand-bands Rafter Roberts, the resurrected Ratt (Infestation), longtime Beatleholic Dave Humphries (aka the Man Turned Down by Apple Records More Than Anyone Alive), and female indie-pop trio Bitter Sober, who will preview their new tunes at the Flame’s Club Purple tonight.
