Upon investigation, police concluded that it had been a rock projectile from a slingshot that had shattered the window. Police subsequently located the suspected slinger, a 20-year-old male SDSU student.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the South Bay Detention Facility on vandalism charges and "malicious and willful intent to do great bodily injury," according to SDSU police. His bail is set at $50,000.
