Hackintosh

Hackintosh. I made it up to refer to computers that are composed of different components. It’s my way of sticking it to the man. I work on computers for a living, and I believe that everyone should have a great operating system, even if they can’t afford one of the pricier computers. A Hackintosh is my version of a pieced-together Macintosh. Some companies charge ten times what it actually takes to make a computer. You can extend the word’s use to other things that are badly put together, like a hack job. It’s good for down-market electronics, too.
