The Witching Hour

My friends and I rediscovered this old-fashioned term, "the witching hour" , which was used to describe creepy things that happened at night to scare kids into going to sleep early. We've adopted it and have started using it to describe the time of night between when bars close around two to when the sun starts to come up. On a good party night, it's our experience that it is during "the witching hour" when all the juicy and scandalous activities of the night occur. The term describes that time in between late night and early morning where mysterious and sometimes creepy things always happen.
