What do the words inside "honeymoon" mean? Busy space bees?

-- Best Man, Bay Park

Warning: Many ridiculous stories exist about "honeymoon." Please, no e-mails involving Attila the Hun, honey-beer bashes at weddings, honey-beer bashes 30 days after the wedding. I know you think you're right, but you're wrong, so save it for somebody else. "Honeymoon" seems to have been invented in the mid-1500s by some clever writer who likened married life to the moon -- sweet at first, when it's full, but then it wanes.
