San Diego — Mike Aguirre and his brother Gary aren't the only locals to receive recent write-ups in the New York Times. Dave Cummings, a 66-year-old porn star from University City, was featured in a year-end story headlined "The Graying of Naughty," about over-50 people performing in dirty movies. The story proclaimed, "The pornography industry, that multibillion-dollar-a-year symbol of airbrushed American carnality, is aging." Cummings, a longtime member of the Hash House Harriers, a beer and running club, and star of such X-rated opuses as It's a Daddy Thing, was quoted as saying, "My son thinks of me as his hero.... When he's out chasing girls, he says, 'Ever hear of Dave Cummings?' My son is getting action because of me."
